Bastion Team Gains Strategic Insights at South African Reserve Bank Policy Forum
A few members of hashtagteamBastion were honoured to be invited to the South African Reserve Bank Policy Forum this week, hosted in their newly renovated offices.
Bastion CEO Belinda Overend was joined by team members Daphney Mokoka (Master of Commerce, with academic grounding in public management and governance), Bandile Nkambule (Bachelor of Commerce in Economics), and Bastion’s Head of Hospitality Gugulethu Mthonti.
Following an overview of the MPC’s focus on maintaining price stability in a global environment shaped by persistent inflationary pressures and external shocks, SARB Govenor Lesetja Kganyago graciously engaged the team in discussion – and a post-presentation selfie.
At Bastion, the value of these experiences for our young, graduate employees is significant. They not only deepen understanding of the geopolitical and macroeconomic forces shaping the environments in which our clients operate, but also strengthen how we approach client reporting and strategic communication in an increasingly complex global landscape.
We look forward to seeing how the South African Reserve Bank balances its outlook in the current environment – and how our team translates these insights into meaningful impact in the months ahead.
