About the awards
Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa’s Integrated Reporting Awards are the leading awards of their kind in the Southern African business fraternity. The awards are co-hosted by the JSE Limited who have partnered with CGISA for the past 21 years.
More and more organisations are adopting an integrated approach to their financial and non-financial reporting to provide a clearer perspective of their business performance, prospects and impact on stakeholders. As more and more companies realise that their integrated report is an important communication tool to key stakeholders, the interest in the awards grows.
The awards, started 63 years ago by CGISA, aim to encourage solid financial and non-financial reporting and full disclosure of information to all stakeholders of the Southern African business fraternity and other key stakeholders. The awards allow organisations to be measured against their peers and offers the opportunity to develop and instil sound reporting practice through the valuable feedback provided by experienced judges. With the adoption of the King lV report, the Integrated Reporting Awards have been given greater impetus.
