Bastion embraces its transformation journey following a change in its B-BBEE classification.
Previously classified as a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE), we have now transitioned into the category of Large Enterprises. This reclassification has prompted us to realign our efforts and meet the requirements and targets associated with Large Enterprises, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to empowerment, diversity, and inclusivity.
Despite the new targets presented by this adjustment, we remain resolute in our dedication to driving meaningful transformation within our organisation and South Africa as a whole. We view this reclassification as an opportunity to strategically realign our B-BBEE strategy and continue making a positive impact on the local business landscape.
Acknowledging the shift to the Large Enterprise category, we understand the introduction of additional requirements and a more stringent scoring methodology.
Our leadership and directors are fully aware of these elevated targets and have proactively initiated plans to overcome them. Through this transition, we aim to reaffirm our commitment to transformation and play a pivotal role in fostering a more inclusive society.
Guided by our core values, we are committed to implementing comprehensive strategies that address the essential transformation pillars.
By embracing this challenge and implementing robust plans, we aim to regain a B-BBEE level 1 status. We remain wholeheartedly committed to making a substantial contribution to the development and transformation of South Africa, fostering empowerment, and creating a more equitable business landscape.
